Alstern Solicitors: Celebrating Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2025 as a Gold Sponsor

On Sunday, 26th January 2025, Alstern Solicitors proudly partnered with the Vietnamese Family Partnership (VFP) to celebrate the Year of the Snake at the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival. As a gold sponsor, we were thrilled to support this vibrant event, which brought the Vietnamese community together for a day of cultural pride, joy, and unity.

The festival was a spectacular display of Vietnamese traditions, featuring mesmerising lion dances, the elegant bamboo dance, and engaging competitions such as chess and Banh Chung wrapping. Families enjoyed a variety of activities, from Tug of War to raffle prizes, making it a truly memorable day for all ages.

A Unique Connection with the Community

This year, Alstern Solicitors strengthened our connection with the community by hosting a traditional Vietnamese wishing game. Participants made their wishes by shaking a container of wooden sticks, allowing one to fall to the floor. Each stick corresponded to a unique number in our "lucky book," which revealed a special message or fortune for the participant. It was heart-warming to see people of all ages embrace this tradition, creating moments of joy and cultural connection.

A Feast of Vietnamese Flavours

No Vietnamese celebration is complete without its delicious cuisine. Guests indulged in a fantastic selection of traditional dishes, including the comforting warmth of pho, the fresh crunch of spring rolls, and the savoury sizzle of banh mi. The event truly captured the essence of Vietnamese culture through its food, creating a shared experience that delighted everyone who attended.
